A Wee Bit O' Magic

Heya how are you doing?

I have read that it is a good idea to back up your photos onto a Flashdrive.

In fact I was going to ask for you to send me an extra Flash drive and some of the elders and my companion have a Hard drive to put their pics on so that could also be useful.

Glad your liking the pics but I forgot my camera again so I’ll have to load up the pics next week or I might when I do family history. I haven’t learned anything else new from FH.

How did transfers go?
Transfers were good since we stayed.

How was your PDay?

We had a good time on our PDay, even though we didn’t do much, we went to this hill over in Castlewellan where when you are on the hill and put the car in neutral you go up the hill instead of rolling down it like you normally would. It was pretty crazy and defies physics but they say its cause of the "little peoples magic" (leprechauns).

I've read that the 2nd Monday of Transfers is a Zone Development Day, I assume that mean emails will be on Tuesday instead of Monday?

What you’ve heard about zone development is true.

How is Pedro and his family doing? Are you still teaching them English?

Pedro and his family are good and yes we still are teaching them English and we got to teach his cousin Katia this week the POS. It went well and she’s open to learning about the gospel. Next lesson when we teach her the Gospel of Jesus Christ we're going to invite her to be baptized.

What do you do in your District Meetings? Are they held in Belfast? and who is your District Leader?

Our district meetings are just like lessons where we learn about a certain topic and how it can help us in our missionary work and they are always in Belfast. The DL is Elder Simpson.

 Love ya and take care.

A Magic Road
(taken from the Internet)

Instructions for your car on the magic road: Put your car at the bottom of the incline, put car in neutral, turn off the engine, and it will slowly roll back up the hill.

What causes it to roll back? Well!, there are some who say that it is a powerful magnetic force emanating from the depths of the earth that causes it. Others believe that it is just magic, and still others believe that it is caused by un-seen Leprechaun's who pull the cars from below for sheer devilment.

 Leprechauns

The name leprechaun may have derived from the Irish leath bhrogan (shoemaker).

As part of Irish mythology and folklore the Leprechauns are part of our faerie folk, called by some as the “wee folk”. As a cousin of the clurichaun they are known to inhabited Ireland well before the arrival of the Celts.

Small enough for one to sit comfortable on your shoulder they are very smartly dressed in small suites with waist coats, hats and buckled shoes.

As mischievous and intelligent folk they are general harmless to the general population in Ireland, although they are known to play the odd trick on farmers and local population of villages and towns.
It is said that every Leprechaun has a pot of gold, hidden deep in the Irish countryside. To protect the leprechaun’s pot of gold the Irish fairies gave them magical powers to use if ever captured by a human or an animal. Such magic an Irish leprechaun would perform to escape capture would be to grant three wishes or to vanish into thin air!

My Mission is Awesome!

Heya  how you doing? Everything is going good here.

Our investigator Louise is getting baptized on October 8th and she is going strong so I'm excited about having my first!

Elder Cavallaro is staying since he’s my trainer. He might leave next transfer, but you never know.

Some of the missionaries in the bowling picture are from other districts. Our district meeting picture is our whole district with the 5 companionships. Only Elder Hansen the one near my companion is leaving back for Scotland, and he’s going to the same zone Glasgow as last time.

Scotland didn't get Independence and everyone over here seems to be pretty happy that Scotland is staying.

My mission is awesome I'm having a blast.  I know it’s crazy that I’ve been out for 6 weeks and it didn’t hit me really until I read Kyle’s email with him saying he’s leaving the MTC soon. Time is flying by and it hasn't felt like I've been out that long yet.

I may be keeping muscles but I’m also getting some belly fat which I’m mad at no matter how much I work out.

Got to have lamb chops this week and they were delicious.

I forgot my camera today so I’ll send some pictures of a typical Friday meal at Bro Dunnely's next time.

We’ve now had a total of 4 incidents with the wee beasties.

I’m going to message Wayne today and find out how they are doing.

Today is more of the email and cleaning/shopping part of the PDay and then we have to go proselyte because Wednesday is moves day which is basically another PDay for us.

It's been great having a car and I'm pretty used to driving on the left side now so driving back home will feel really weird.

I’ll let you know next time if anything else new happens.

Love ya, take care.
