Arrived Safely/First Impressions

Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.
I made it and survived the flights! So how are things back home? As soon as I went through security I met up with 8 other missionaries going to my MTC. Then my Manchestor flight had 30 in total. I'm pretty tired right now because I didn't get much sleep and we just got to the MTC. Driving on the left side of the road felt so weird but cool. Looking forward to driving. I'll talk to you later when I have time.

Solemn and Fond Farewell

Wednesday, July 30, 2014 6:00 a.m.

All of a sudden the day for Elder Tarbet’s departure was here. After very little sleep we gathered up the luggage and packed them in the back of the van. Pulled out of the driveway around 6:00 a.m.Then the long quiet, thoughtful drive to Salt Lake Airport, not much was said, as all were deep in thought or really tired.
Elder Tarbet's Flight DL 14 from Salt Lake City to Atlanta, departed at 9:50 a.m. He had a layover in Atlanta for 4 hours and then boarded Flight DL 64 from Atlanta to Manchester, England which departed at 7:10 p.m. It arrived at the Manchester Airport on July 31, at 7:30 a.m.
