Happy Halloween

Heya everyone how are you doing?

Everything's going good over here.

Its been pretty quiet here too.

Last week we didn't do much for our PDay, just went bowling for a bit and had some down time to  relax.

We haven't heard anything from the referrals yet but hopefully we will soon.

We've been trying to work with some LA's lately since we've been having trouble getting in touch with some of our investigators and finding new ones.

We haven't had any really big things happen this week besides a Halloween activity that happened on Saturday which was pretty fun.

Me and Elder Cavallaro went in our onesies for it and were in charge of some games. It was good fun but great cause we got to be in normal clothes.

Today were going to the Giants Causeway for PDay, so sorry this is also going to be short because it takes 2 hours to get there, and we don't have that much time for email.  Hope you guys have a great week.

Love you all take care!

A Week of Exchanges, Referrals and Service

Hiya

How are you all doing?

Its been a pretty slow week here this week but at the same time busy. We had several exchanges this week and Zone Conference so we were busy with those.

We got a self referral this week from a guy asking for a BOM. I was gone on exchange when my companion dropped it off but they left the BOM with his dad who said he studies religions so he might look into it himself. Other than that we didn't have any super amazing things happen this week.

We did do some service for people this week and one of them was a LA Sister. My companion kept making fun of me after because apparently when her oldest daughter came downstairs my eyes went really wide and he could tell I liked her. What can I say, I'm a sucker for them gorgeous foreign girls;)

Another slightly funny thing that happened was we went to go see another referral from the Sisters in Lisburn and when we went her father answered the door. I barely had time to say just "Hello" then he slammed the door saying not interested.

Well the elder I was with on the exchange noticed he had left his keys in the lock so he knocked on the door and the father came back really angry yelling "How many times do I have to tell you people till you understand!..." stuff like that. Well I told him he left the keys in the lock and he just looks at the lock, pauses, then doesn't look at me and proceeds to close the door yelling "I know it's there, cheers" then slams it. I thought it was kinda funny and weird at the same time.

Q: Is there a tradition behind the wearing of the onesies?

We just all agreed to wear onesies on that Zone Development day because it's tradition to get onesies on this mission (and onesies are just popular over here in Scotland/Ireland.)

Q: How was your hike last PDay?

Our hike was good but I forgot to bring my camera with me. But the top had a good view, except the mountain was probably half the size of Utahs.

Q: What is the weather like over there?

The weather has been pretty good here. Everyone is bundled up in jackets and jumpers and stuff, then I always walk around on PDays with a T-shirt and shorts or jeans. It's not been as cold as it gets in Utah yet so it's been nice to me.

Q: Do you have any idea what might happen on the next transfers?

My companion thinks he'll be leaving this next transfer because he's been here for about 7 months. I've had several missionaries say tell me that they think I'll be training next transfer because we're getting a lot of new people coming in, but I don't think I will be and I don't feel ready, but we'll see.

I love the members here! The Weirs are so great and fun and same with the Keerys. On Sundays we also go to a family who are the Bridgewater's and they are also one of my favorite families. They are all great each in their own ways.

 Just arriving, Hi Mom!
 Crepes for dinner, yum, yum!

I'm glad you took one of the puppies, it will keep you busy and someone to talk to when I'm not there. She looks pretty cute, I love Storms face in the window there, haha! How is Storm taking to the new intruder?
Ladythe puppy, "I just want to be friends!"

Glad to hear Timmy might help out with wrestling. Hell love Bo. I miss Bo and helping out with wrestling and well... just wrestling and working out hard.

Let me know if anything crazy happens back home or any other questions you want answered.

Anyway hope you are all doing good. Take care and love you lots!

A Day of Fun, A Baptism and A New Investigator, Oh and Pictures!

Heya hows it going?

Glad to hear about BYU getting beat!

Q: Have you had to speak in the Ward yet?
I've also already given a talk in this ward it was like my third or 4th week here and I talked on missionary work. It went okay I thought but everyone else said it was very good.

This week not a ton of huge stuff happened.

We had zone development on Tuesday so we got to relax and do sports and stuff all day with the zone. It was a really good day.

Louise is doing good but is having some challenges with her mother, but other than that she's doing good and was able to get baptized on Wednesday.  I gave the opening prayer and everyone said I gave a really good prayer also that everyone could  feel the Spirit.  It went really great and Louise was awesome! She was really nervous but happily smiling the whole time (even though she was crying a lot from the Spirit) :)

Baptism October 8, 2014

On Wednesday, while we were filling up the font for Louise's baptism we listened to Elder Bednar's talk. We thought it was really good.

On Sunday we got a new investigator from one of our potentials coming out.

He's a friend of Pedro's who is named Feluciano and he is Romanian. He really enjoyed church and wants to have some of the lessons.

We're doing well here and today were going to go on a hike. I also remembered my camera today so ill send you some pics.

That's the main highlights of this week.

Good to hear from all of you, love you and take care of yourselves.

End of Zone Development of us in our onesies. I got a grizzly bear onesie (cause I'm a beast of course!)

Just your average Friday meal in the Portadown area at Br. Dunnely's. Here's a before and after pic of the meal. In the before pic I took it before he put down the plate full of carrots.
